Nota d'usoLa parola matrimonio può essere tradotta con i sostantivi “marriage” o “wedding”, a seconda del contesto. Quando ci si riferisce alla cerimonia matrimoniale e alla festa che ne segue, si usa la parola “wedding”: Sabato andiamo al matrimonio di un amico, we're going to a friend's wedding on Saturday (non we're going to a friend's marriage). “Marriage” si riferisce invece al vincolo del matrimonio e alla vita matrimoniale: Erano una coppia ben assortita e il loro fu un matrimonio lungo e felice, they were a well-matched couple and theirs was a long, happy marriage. -
